A cellphone coffee break test - nothing more.

Just an experiment from a cellphone to see. It’s a lot easier to grab and shoot with this than the regular camera. I used a Motorola cingular phone set to 640 x 480. Although I hate Cingular, the pic quality is actually not that bad. I might do more this way to chronicle the fun, if I can just remember to keep my thumb out of the frame next time.

Maybe it’s easier to just title these posts what the photo is about rather than get cute with wording. Not sure. Maybe it doesn’t matter as long as the pics are clear. Shot on the weekend at SB homebase. Actually had to work today so I’m only just getting to this now. I'll try and post as much as a I can but can’t say for sure. Look below and see how college-age kids drive parents insane.

The first pic is very self-explanatory.

The second one happened after the youngest made his plans for how he would take over the sister’s room. It involves a 42" plasma. The last line should be "...the ouster of the other" but idiot me held the camera too high. Maybe I should scan them. Although the drink would have a hard time fitting on the glass. Tough room.

Caffeine equals sketching

This is a blog about two things, caffeine and sketching. Things I’m spending way too much time at Starbuck’s doing. 12-step program comes to mind or something since I spend too much time there. What are you gonna do, when you need a fix, you need a fix.

This is how I spend my time. I like grabbing a spot and chilling without interuptions but then sooner or later someone from the office comes in and you have to go back. A laptop and the same powerpoint deck can only buy so much time. Otherwise, an hour later when they come back, it’s like, why am I still here? I don’t have an answer for that. Inside my head though I am screaming back WHY ARE YOU HERE THEN?

The pic is from a recent trip. Yeah recent. like every hour. Just gotta get it out of my system. So here’s a shot of a recent one (click it to enlarge).

I doodle mostly as I am bored sitting there with certain people but if I see something going on I get distracted and will focus on that, maybe it’s A.D.D.? This one was about a lady with her kid and she had the cellphone going and 50 other things and the kid looked bored. Like she can’t be bothered with him. Figure he’ll make some therapist really wealthy later in life.

But then I was thinking maybe he’s a spy.

Who would know. I mean, they’re everywhere right? Kids. Kids in malls. Kids in schools. What’s to say they wouldn’t have transmitters in their backbacks? There might be a central kid headquarters where parents are monitored 24/7. Eventually, bad parents would be traded in for better ones, like cellphone lady is going to be. Problem is though, they’re still kids. They can’t read. They have all this useful info but what can they do with it, right?

See this is how my mind works when I’m bored and full of super unleaded. And this is WAY too much writing, but it’s my first post here.
